Tamouchin Keykhosro Shahrokh

Tamouchin has been collecting covers since 1978 and started exhibiting in Asian and International Exhibitions since 2004 starting in Hong Kong. He was collecting stamps from an early age, but in 1978 Farzin Mossavar-Rahmani introduced him to covers, Farzin himself was introduced to covers by Mr Sharifian who had a good knowledge of covers especially for that that time.

His main interests cover:

  • Postal History (Irregular postmarks of the Qajar period)
  • Censors during World War II extending to the Reza Khan period
  • Postal Stationary
He is a member of :
  • Iran Philatelic Study Circle
  • Iran Philatelic Society
Tamouchin received B.Commerce from McGill University and an MBA from New York University. After returning to Iran he was involved in the food industry and later in the Medical Disposable speciality field.

During he years he has had close dealings with Mr. Farzin Mosarvar Rahmani, Mr. Elghanian, Mr. Sharifian,  Mr. Chaichi, Mr. Fereidound Farahbakhsh, and Mr. Bjorn sohrne, of which unfortunately many of them are no longer with us.

He is interested in helping promote the creation of philatelic exhibitions in Iran which unfortunately no interest has been shown so far. Fortunately there is a good number of young collectors who with some incentive and help can improve their collections and gain proper information for exhibitions. The main aim would be to create new interest in Iran Philatelic.
