Postal history of Bushehr in the Qajar period
Mohammad Aalipoor
The Qajar era Bushehr was regarded as the most important gateway of export and import and the focusing point of trading exchanges in Iran. Therefore, in addition to being a site for political representatives, grand international economic companies, and commercial offices, it was also where many credible business houses were established in this port by Iranian businessmen, which was influential in the country's economic flow. This extensive trade relations among Bushehr, the inner cities of Iran, and other countries caused the formation of a new period in the postal history of Bushehr. In this exhibit, I try to refer to a corner of Bushehr's postal history by presenting a number of postal envelopes from the Qajar era.
