Censored Postal Envelopes of World War I in Bushehr

Faraz Gholamzadeh

Mohammed Dehdashti ( Roghani, meaning oilmen) migrated from Behbahanto Bushehr port with his children during the Qajar period.

After coming to Bushehr, his two sons, Haj Agha Ali Dehdashti and Haj Gholam Hossein Dehdashti, started to sell sesame oil and animal oil, which they brought from Behbahan to Bushehr. This family was known as ‘oilmen’ because they sold oil. They exchanged oil with countries and cities such as England, Iraq, Najaf, Manchester, Naseri Port, Ramhormoz, Shiraz, Isfahan, etc.

This exhibit was prepared from the archives of the Dehdashti family.
