III. 42’ departure and ‘BAGHDAD 20. III. 42’ transit postmarks. Tehran rectangular registration marking with manuscript No. 30329 as well rate calculation of ‘39.50’ on front of the cover.
Cover was opened by ANGLO-SOVIET-PERSIAN forces and was examined by both the British and Soviet censor officers. Cover was sealed with blank sealing tape and received ANGLO-SOVIET-PERSIAN censor no. 7 in Cyrillic and no. 11 in English. Since the cover was already examined, it received a boxed ‘NOT EXAMINED’ marking in Baghdad. The cover is genuine in all respects.
