III. 42’ departure and ‘BAGHDAD 20. III. 42’ transit postmarks. Tehran rectangular registration marking with manuscript  No. 30329 as well rate calculation of ‘39.50’ on front of the cover. 

Cover was opened by ANGLO-SOVIET-PERSIAN forces and was examined by both the British and Soviet censor officers. Cover was sealed with blank sealing tape and received ANGLO-SOVIET-PERSIAN censor no. 7 in Cyrillic and no. 11 in English. Since the cover was already examined, it received a boxed ‘NOT EXAMINED’ marking in Baghdad. The cover is genuine in all respects.

17 August 1917 - Cover from Tehran to Senneh, franked with 2x 3ch-on-10ch of 1917 revalued ‘1335’ issues, paying 6ch domestic rate, cancelled with ‘TEHERAN 17.VIII.17’ departure and ‘SENNEH 21.VIII.17’ arrival postmarks. Tehran letter-box (Sandooq) marking as well as postage due marking on front of the cover. Manuscript postage due marking for ??? Dinar written with red pencil by the postal clerk on front of the cover. The cover was inspected in Kurdistan and manuscript writing ‘Inspected by military censor’ in lilac pencil was added to the front of the cover. The cover is genuine in all respects.

24 June 1919 - Registered cover from Ghajars’ Union Party in Tehran to the governer of Astar-Abad, franked with 2x1kr carmine & blue (perf. 11.5, tall) of 1911 Ahmad Shah issue, 3ch light green (perf. 11.5, position 6/2) and 3x5ch rose (perf. 11.5, position 1/4-6) of 1919 Zinc Plate Provisional issue, paying a total of 58ch (39ch domestic rate+ 12ch registration fee + 6ch registration receipt + 1ch Tehran charity tax), cancelled with ‘TEHERAN 24.VI.19’ departure postmark. Manuscript registration number 7568 as well as calculated rate of 2 Krans 90 Dinars written by the postal clerk on front of the cover. After departure from Teheran, the cover was opened and sealed with sealing tape on both sides and a mark reading ‘Abdeh Mohammed’ was applied on the sealing tape on both side. The cover is genuine in all respects.
